I'm back again -- wish I had extra time so I could post more often -- the photo above shows the cards we will be making for a Stampin Up workshop at my house on Monday, November 9th from 1-4 pm -- I also made a small pillow box with the SU die and I am sure there is room for some candy in the box!!!

I'm back from my five week vacation (it was great to visit my MGC pal, Valerie while we were in Vancouver, BC) and finally got all my chores done so I could craft today -- I made two things for a Stampin Up Workshop on October 6th at my house -- the fellow on the left is the "Build-A-Bear die from SU and he (or she) is decked out in a Halloween costume -- the box on the right uses a stamp set from Stampin Up (can't remember the name and can't go look it up since I have a cat on the back of my chair and if I get up I am sure the chair will tip over!!) -- I plan to buy some candy on Friday for the ladies at the workshop to put in the boxes they make -- I will have to hide the candy from my husband or there won't be any candy left come Tuesday!!).
I have been working toward my certification on the new Stampin Up software -- looks like a great program -- I did the scrapbook and card making part and next up is making calendars -- if you would like to see more info about the program you can check out the Stampin Up web site.

The scrapbook page, card, and gift bag were all made with the Stampin Up Bag w/Scallops Bigz xl die -- the ideas for the above came from www.stampthings.com (I tried to put in a link but it did not take me to the correct page so you will have to type in the address) -- -- lots of great ideas and tutorials -- we did the gift bag at the Tuesday workshop and I did the card and scrapbook page as examples of what can be done -- I managed to get my kittys to cooperate (that doesn't happen very often) and they allowed me take some cute photos.
Excuse the background on my flower pots -- I have looked for some plastic easels but no luck so far -- the flower pot on the right is one I made to use as an example for my SU workshop on Tuesday ( some of the ladies from my Scrapbooking group joined our regular workshop group and we had a great time!!) -- the flower pot on the left is one I made from the left over packet from the workshop -- a little bit different -- I did I boo-boo so had to cover it up -- I think I like it better -- gives the flower pot a little more color -- I found the Flower Pot tutorial on www.splitcoaststampers.com -- what a great site!!

I had planned to do a Bear Card using punches for the July SU workshop but the bear and I are not getting along (note to self - don't just print the PDF file - watch the video also!!!) so instead we are going to make the flower pot card above -- my friend, Donna made this one and sent it to me for a RAK -- we are also doing a gift bag with a Sizzix die but it is a long die and I did not realize I needed the extended cutting pads -- so I must send an order off to SU today and will post a photo of the finished bag after I get the needed supplies (2nd note to self -- read the directions!!!)

I know April has been a busy month but can't believe I haven't posted since April 2nd -- the above photo shows the flowers we made for our April 14th class in Williamsburg -- on the left is Queen Anne's Lace -- 60 small white flowers to glue on -- it took a couple of days to do as you could only glue a couple of flowers at a time and then had to wait for them to dry -- the middle one is the rose and on the right is the Rhododendron.

No cards today but did go to class in Williamsburg at Stamp N Memories -- Sandy was our teacher and what a talented lady -- the above flowers are the result -- the one on the left is a Carnation, the one in the middle is a Batchelor Button, and the one on the right is a Dogwood blossom -- back to card making tomorrow as need to get things ready for the SU workshop this Saturday.
