Cards for October Class

These are four cards I designed for a class I am teaching on October 14th at Espe D's craft shop in Warsaw, Virginia -- I tried to keep the tools needed to a minimum so people could easily re-create the cards at home.- -- the class will be held from 6 - 8 pm and the cost will be $15.00 which includes the supplies for the cards -- you just need to bring your favorite adhesive -- to sign up call (804) 840-4831
I ordered some Rich Razzleberry ribbon on my last demonstrator order for some reason -- I'm sure I had an idea at the time -- but I forgot what it was so I had to come up with a design to use the ribbon -- love the Autumn Spice DSP from the SU Holiday mini catalog!!!!

This is card #2 and it was inspired by a card on Mary Fish's site -- if you have never visited her site you are in for a treat -- www.stampinpretty.com

Folded Frame

Almost time for another Stampin Up workshop at my house -- love the folded frame so thought that would be a fun thing to do for card #1

I'm not sure where August went, but go it did and quite fast I might add!! -- here are the cards for the September Stampin Up Workshops -- love the owl punch and it is so easy to use!! -- the pumpkin card is an adaption of a card I made in a class at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Virginia Beach the end of August -- I had a wonderful time and learned so much and hope they will be back again next year!!!!

This is a card I made for my daughter-in-law's graduation on August 14th -- she now has a Master's Degree in Library Science and we are so proud of her. Way to go, Liz!!!!

I finally finished the cards for my Stampin Up August workshops -- the one on the left is from my Stampin Up magazine and the one on the right is my design -- the one in the middle is from a design by a Stampin Up demonstrator -- she has a great site so drop by to check out her cards -- www.stampinpretty.com

Card for July Stampin Up workshops

I thought I better give the ladies a break and do something besides an easel card for the July Stampin Up workshops -- this card I found in the Summer mini catalog along with a lovely stamp set called Watercolor Trio -- I made a few changes to the card but stayed with the "sketch" of the card in the catalog.
Now that I found the directions for the A2 easel cards, I can't seem to stop making them -- here is one we are going to make for the July Stampin Up workshops at my house.

Fathers Day Card

I have been very busy so no posts for a bit -- even my husband's Father's Day card was last minute -- finished it up late Saturday evening -- all the easel cards I had seen (and I love them) were squares -- i don't make very many square cards because of the extra postage -- but I found a site (http://bluebirdflats.blogspot.com) and there were the directions for an A2 card -- when folded flat the card fits right into the small envelopes I have. -- Yeah!! - no extra postage.

Getting Organized

Not much crafting lately -- I have been organizing my stamps -- I bought the black cabinet at Walmart and put it together (after I dropped it on my foot -- BIG bruise)!!!! Then I cleaned up all my stamps in their CD cases and gave some stamps away to a friend -- then I made copies of each CD case and put that in a notebook and now when I am looking for a particular stamp I just look in my notebook -- how good is that!!!!

WOW another post for me -- just finished the bunny card above -- got the stamp, paper and ribbon with one of the British craft magazines -- love those magazines!!!!
This is page two for Easter and this is what is in the journal box: "No Easter family photos as Jim & Michelle do not like to have their pictures taken -- the cats, however, are always ready to pose (I think they are hoping if they are cute they will get extra food for their efforts!!)". I should mention the cats are always looking for more food since they have been on a diet -- the Vet said Alex is "overly portly" at 20 pounds and Max is not far behind at 17 1/2 pounds -- thus the diet.
No cards today but I did finally finish the Easter pages I have been working on for a month (I've been working on them at the Monday scrapping group and I have been doing more talking than working!!!) -- this is page one and since I am not sure you can read the journal box, here it is, "The photo below shows what Jim was hoping to have for breakfast on Easter morning - however, Michelle and I gave him "the look" and he decided cereal was a better idea -- he didn't forget the plate of "goodies" and snacked on it for the rest of the day!!!".

The final card for the June workshop -- can you believe I have the workshop cards done more than three weeks ahead of time!!!! We had one card left over from the May workshop that we did not get done so we will do that one in June. Now I have time to play with my Copics!!
Finally, a bird card I like and that is easy to do -- this is the one we will use for my next Stampin Up workshop on June 14th.
Hope this is not too much of a shock -- I posted two days in a row!! -- I am still playing with my bird punch -- I think I should have had the ribbon up a bit -- I think this one needs some more work.

I am trying to post more often to my blog -- wonder how long that will last!!! -- I made two cards yesterday from a card I had seen in my friend Bev's card magazine (yes, it does get confusing when we are together) -- I wanted to use my Stampin Up bird punch -- I cut the circle in the card with my Cricuit and also cut the shape on the circle also with the Cricut -- I like both cards but my favorite is the pink and green -- love those pastels!!!!!

This is not a Stampin Up card -- I did this with my new Cricut cartridge called Just Because Cards -- lots of good things on this cartridge but not as easy to use as others!!
Lots of good things going on in this card -- love the butterfly and the verse!!
The stamp set used here is called King of the Grill and you can find it in the new Summer Mini catalog -- lots of good things in the Summer Mini!!
So much for my resolution to post to my blog more often -- I just need many more hours in my day -- I did get the cards done for the upcoming Stampin Up workshop -- the one above is done using Bashful Blue which is one of the colors that is staying -- sure glad it is as I love this blue.
